This laptop needs to stay plugged in for it to stay powered on. The unit powers off once the charging cable is removed. This is because the battery is bad. The display is fully functional, but there are some bright spots on the screen that are best seen with a white background. This device successfully connects to WiFi networks and the audio was tested by playing a video. The WiFi and audio are both fully functional.
